This 14 inch shamanic drum for sale is made from hand dyed red deer hide, crafted on a willow hoop. A clear crackle quartz shines out from the centre of the traditional cross handle representing the directions.
BORN: 30 April 2025, 18;02 pm as we approcahed Beltane
The beater is made from a fallen piece of silver birch found during a woodland walk near my home. The head is made from chamoise suede, filled with sheeps wool, and connected using some of the same deer hide. This style of beater I find offeres a good resonate sound.
This deer hide was rinsed in water with hawthorn and apple blossom which inspired the colour choice and name. This drum is full of feminie light, softness, strength and radites out to your heart and soul.
APPLE BLOSSOM: Symbolises love, peace, fertility and new beginnings. For me the flower remindes me of the pure joy of spring, a femine light radiating our from the winter darker days.
HAWTHORN: Symbolises love, fertility, protection and the transition from spring to summer. In Cletic mythology, associated with Beltane.
CLEAR QUARTZ: Clarity, focus and spiritual growth, a 'stone of power', associated with amplified energy and healing potential.
WILLOW: resilience, adaptability and grief. Feminine energy, fertility and a connecton to the moon and water.
