This beater is made from a piece of drift wood found on a Welsh beach, the chamois suede head is filled with sheep's wool. The beater head is joined to the wood using the same deer hide, and a piece of black lambskin leather.

My shamanic drums for sale are made from deer skin sustainably sourced from Scotland and wooden hoops. All my drums come with a beater that usually has the same deer skin used in some way, to connect them. I always work in a sacred ceremonial way respecting all parts of the process.
