Stunning patterns on this dyed goat hide.  I love the contrast and the changing tones of this aqua/teal colour.  For me the drum evokes feelings of being beach side, the sea, sea gods and goddesses.  When I asked the name I received Pandora which then became Anesidora, both have similar meaning of 'all gifts; or 'giver of gifts'.

In Greek mythology, it was an epithet primarily associated with Pandora—the first human woman—as well as earth and agricultural goddesses like Gaia and Demeter. The "gifts" refer to the blessings and fruits that spring forth from the earth.

A crisp and resonant voice to this drum, light to hold and light and free feeling in energy.  The patterning to me is almost hypnotic....I could gaze for a long time tracing all the shapes and textures.  There is also an otherworldly essence to this drum, as if it invites travel to different planets and planes.

Comes with a free beater like all my spirit drums on a willow stick, sheep's wool filled suede head, trimmed with a rabbit fur cuff and some of the goat hide.

Is the medicine of this drum you?

Anesidora
