16 inch horse hide shamanic drum on an ash hoop holding a citrine crystal

A phenomenal sound to this spirit drum born at 2.19pm on 3 July 2026.  I was deeply struck by the movement across the horse hide face of the drum, from West to East, like a strong wind blowing.  Or a flame flashing across.

When I journeyed to connect to hide, hoop and incoming drum soul to ask permission and give thanks, I first saw a chestnut coloured horse with a white mane flowing, galloping fast, this images shifted into the white horses of the spray of a large ocean wave.  I then became aware of Neptune and his 3 pronged spear, The Trident.  I could feel the energy and power of the horse, the waves; the wisdom of water and the water gods. 

Ash gave me a lightness of being, grounded and sky reaching.

Neptune represents dreams, illusions, spirituality and the subconscious.  Spiritual transcendence.  Neptune is said to rule unconditional universal love.

The Trident symbolises a command over the fundamental elements of the world; nature, creation, destruction.

Citrine: abundance, personal power, clarity.

Angelica: guidance, grace, purity, revelation, spiritual protection.

What an incredible drum!

The beater is made from a hawthorn stick, some of the horse hide, an olive green suede head filled with sheep's wool, and a fluff of sheepskin.
