Stunningly patterned with a beautiful deep resonance this magnificent drum makes my body tingle. When I look at the patterning on the face of the drum, I see the movement of material over the surface of the earth. When I asked for a name I heard 'Debris' as if being shown the carving of surfaces made as material flows; a result of the force of nature, scraping and carving. Then, as the Debris settles, the new life that forms from the layers of natural materials laying on the ground, fertilized by the passing of life. A metaphor of the experience of a human life perhaps.
The name is pronounced Deb riss.

My shamanic drums are made from sustainably sourced hides and wooden hoops. All my drums come with a beater that usually has the same animal skin used in some way, to connect them. I always work in a sacred ceremonial way respecting all parts of the process.
