16 inch deer hide shamanic drum for sale, crafted on an ash hoop and holds a Labradorite crystal in the centre of a traditional four directions cross handle design.

When I journeyed to connect to the hide and the incoming drum soul I was offered messages of keep it simple, clear and directional, don't over think my design this work is all about the energy. 16 holes, four spokes to each arm.
As I worked with the hide there was a very striking and clear mark running in a line that began with what I would describe as a flowing tail, from where the line became straight and pointed at the head like an arrow head, or the head of a snake. "Point me to the North so I can show the way" So I did - I have crafted this line into the drum which flows from the head, up the side, over to the rear and points to the North arm of the drum. The join of the hoop that can be seen inside marks the south.
The as the drum dried it revealed two clear golden lines running across the drum face/head South to North. There are natural white spots delicately scattered across the bottom/South of the head and where the two lines begin there are golden flashes.
This drum feels full of life, direction sureness and wisdom. A protective, come with me, I will show you the way energy.
When I asked for a name I heard Edward. The reason has not fully revealed itself to me, perhaps it is not meant to. But interestingly in Old English the term Weard, means 'Guardian', and the directional suffix Weard means 'toward'. The name Edward comes from the Old English Eadweard - 'ead' meaning of prosperity or wealth, 'weard' guardian. So...Prosperous Guardian.
As always I feel these messages are layered, multi-dimensional - we are unable to hold all the meaning in words, whilst we are given clues and the whole message if felt within the energy, in this case of the drum.

All my drums come with a free beater. The beater is made from a willow branch, chamois leather, filled with sheep's wool. I include hide from the drum on the beater. The fur trim is from an ethical hide supplier in England.
