This 16 inch natural Scottish deer hide shamanic drum for sale has been crafted on a willow hoop and holds a Nebula crystal in the center of this three pointed handle design.  The double hole technique creates pretty patterning, often resembling the shape of a heart.

BORN: 02 October at 12:17pm

This natural hide shamanic drum has incredible movement of patterning across the drum head.  The energy is active, lively and holds a variety of depth.  Parts of the hide are translucent, showing the wood patterning underneath.  The sound is anchored and sure, with good resonance.

When I asked for a name I immediately heard, Elizabeth.  When I looked up the meaning of the name I discovered the Hawaiian version Elikapeka which felt good to me.  There is also a Russian version,  Elisaveta.  The meaning of the name is more or less the same in all 3 cultures, 'God is My Oath'.

However, the Hawaiian description I feel sits well here:

"In Hawaiian culture, names hold deep significance, often reflecting personal beliefs or characteristics. Elikapeka is a powerful expression of one's devotion to a higher power and serves as a reminder of the sacredness of promises made. While the exact historical documentation of the name Elikapeka may be limited, its usage can be traced back to the indigenous people of Hawaii. In ancient times, names were bestowed upon children by their parents or elders, embodying their hopes and aspirations. Elikapeka likely emerged as a way for parents to emphasize the importance of honoring commitments and maintaining a strong connection with the divine."

All my drums come with a free beater. The beater is made from a fallen silver birch branch, chamois leather, filled with sheep's wool.

  • My shamanic drums are made from sustainably sourced hides and wooden hoops.  All my drums come with a beater that usually has the same animal skin used in some way, to connect them.  I always work in a sacred ceremonial way respecting all parts of the process.
