This drum is deep, mysterious, alluring, rich...of royal or noble blood, yet uncomplicated. A prince perhaps.
The patterning in the hide that can be seen when the light casts through evokes the rich dark nebula in the cosmos and also hints of hidden depths.
There is a very slight wobble in the hoop that can be seen in some of the images.
The beater is made from a fallen silver birch branch, chamois leather, filled with sheep's wool and a stitched collar of the same hide and a fluff of rabbit fur. A really handsome beater.
