This 16 inch red deer hide shamanic drum for sale has been crafted on a red oak hoop. A Net Jasper crystal is included in the centre of the handle surrounded by arrow feather like strings meeting a scalloped edge of the drum head. Powerful, clear, stright lines, meet softness.
I called this drum Red. The red of the deer, the red of the oak and when I connected to ask a name I heard Red Rum, bringing to mind of course the famous racehorse who was an Irish Thoroughbred steeplechaser. I felt speed, quality, clarity and excellence.

The beater is made from a fallen branch, sheeps wool and chamoise suede. I felt this beater needed to be simple and straight. Rather perhaps, like the arrow feather strings.

OAK: Strength, endurance, and longevity. They are also associated with wisdom, stability, and royalty.
