This drum is all about expansion and survival. The marks on our bodies left behind, like stretch marks. When we reach beyond our current place, where will that reaching leave its mark..a memory of a lived experience. Where will we give way, and call for extra support. This drum holds that lived experience, that support.
On birthing this drum, one section of the hide was struggling with the tension of the lacing so I had to layer the hide at one hole, to provide the stability required. This drum, despite having just arrived, brings with it the wisdom of a lived experience. It holds a maturity to guide and support you, to be with you through the challenging times, towards celebration and acceptance.
This drum will come with a 3 year guarantee.
All my drums come with a free beater. This drum beater is made from willow, sheep's wool, chamois, and a soft ethically sourced rabbit fur trim, and some cow hide.. I always use some of the same drum hide on the beater.
