16 inch Buffalo hide double sided shamanic drum ideal for a sweat lodge use, trimmed with wild English rabbit fur. Willow hoop.
This drum of course can be used any where at any time. However its double sided construction and being made from buffalo means that this drum will be much slower to take on moisture and therefore ideal for sweat lodge use.
Typically single sided frame drums made from hides such as deer or reindeer more easily absorb moisture and will go flat too quickly for reliable sweat lodge use. There are always exceptions! But most typically hides such as buffalo/bison/cow taken on moisture more slowly.

I love the echo sound created by double sided drums, so earthy and grounding with almost a gong like resonance.
