A 18 inch natural Scottish deer hide with a handle made from a piece of oak from a lightening struct tree believed to be around 200 years old, crafted onto an willow hoop.

What a deep resonant and powerful voice this spirit drum has! I love the contract of the pale hide against the rich dark oak handle.
There is a connection to Pheasant energy, I have a lot of wings and feathers from pheasant and I was moved to have them around as I was crafting this one. I have included some on the beater which comes included free with this drum.
I feel a purity of nature. A feeling of velvety, soft, richness, of weaving and connecting - are the words I wrote down in my journal as I birthed this one. Then I was given the name Vision, when I came to do the listing here.
When I play this one I feel its power to transport you to other worlds and feel the energy of thunderbolts and lightening. You can hear that in the drum.
As you look at the face of the drum, slightly over to the right, there is a faint image of a large heart, or an elongated owl with two eyes.
There is almost a contradiction....a clear, light, softness of appearance, yet a deeply pwoerful and transformative voice.
The beater is made from a willow stick, some of the deer hide, an olive green suede head filled with sheep's wool, and a small group of pheasant feathers, possibly from a section around hte neck area.

My shamanic drums for sale are made from sustainably sourced hide from either Scotland or the Netherlands. All my drums come with a free beater that usually has the same deer skin used in some way, to connect them. I always work in a sacred ceremonial way respecting all parts of the process.
