She offered me the name Willow for the purpose of listing her online. Drums will often offer a different name to their eventual drumming partner. Willow holds meaning of: freedom, elegance, grace, beauty as well as adaptability, inner strength and resilience (due to the association with the Willow Tree) In various cultural and literary traditions willow can symbolize sorrow and grief, but also healing, intuition and emotional depth. All feels so relevant to the energy of this drum.
Peach Aventurine: Often used to soothe stress, worry and shyness, this crystal is also said to promote self-love, joy and emotional stability.
All my drums come with a free beater. This drum beater is made from willow, sheep's wool, chamois, and the trims are made from cow hide and ethically sourced rabbit. I always use some of the same drum hide on the beater.
